Rolex Model Numbers

Rolex uses model numbers are used to distinguish the different models that they make. Prior to the year 2000 Rolex model numbers were four or five digits long. The first two or three digits of the model number identify the type of watch while the last digits, with some exceptions will identify the type of bezel used and the material that the watch is made from.
