"In the late 1970s, disco was all the rage and disco attire was very much in fashion. People could be seen all over the world in discos wearing disco clothing.Many of these fashions included spandex shirts, polyester and hot pants. Both men and women wore Lycra pants which were very shiny and came in bright colors. Lots of sequins could be found sewn all over tops. Leopard prints and gold lame
. clothing was also very much in fashion during the disco era.Platform shoes were very big and were mostly seen on women but some men wore them too. Most men wore lots of gold chains around their necks and unbuttoned their shirts.The movie Saturday Night Fever was hugely popular with the disco crowd and showed lots of the fashions that were worn and were popular back then.For the most part, disco attire was only worn at night when going out on the town and was not really acceptable attire to wear during the daytime hours."
