"The cuckoo clock is a favorite of many. The clock is named for the bird that emerges to issue the timekeeping call. A common problem with cuckoo clocks is that the pendulum does not move. The pendulum regulates the time on the clock. Remove the back of the clock and turn it upside down. There is a chain that goes around the sprocket wheel inside the clock. Let the chain hang off the
. sprocket wheel. Pull firmly and engage the chain with the teeth on the wheel. When the chain is back in place turn the clock back to normal position and put the back of the clock on. The pendulum should be back in operation.Another common problem is the cuckoo will not cuckoo. This means the bellows are damaged and need to be repaired. Each bellow has a top and bottom section. If the top is damaged, replace with a new top. This can be done with a small amount of epoxy. If the tube in the bottom is broken, replace the bellows completely. The cuckoo clock will be up and running again."
